Letter: The times, they are changing
One of the best I have seen, Chuck Doud’s editorial on time change. My thoughts, too. Why not advance standard time 30 minutes and leave it as the “New Standard time” for the whole world?
The only problem with the extended daylight is Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune. These need to be changed to 8 p.m. in the summer and back to 7 in winter. This time change may not have the same physiological effects as the hour change we have now.
“Fake News” by Harold Pease is a worthy read. Lots of truth there. Should be required reading in Madera Schools, with a detailed report and discussion.
Same with the following articles on “Medicare” by James D. Veltmeyer. “Medicare for all” (except elected officials). The young need to realize this when they vote, especially 16-year-olds.
“Communist taking over” by Danial Allot. Another required read. Enjoyed the article on Lyndon Baines Johnson. Not a fan of his, and Bill Coate’s article made me think, “today (LBJ) would be a pervert for hanging around in a shower…”
These were my thoughts, before Tami Jo’s “Wicked” article. Might be good, but I’m not going to see it.
Thanks for a good issue.
