Toros scrap for comeback win

FRESNO — After playing in an overtime game the night before, the Matilda Torres Toros overcame a sluggish first half for a narrow North Yosemite League victory over the Sunnyside Wildcats. 

The Toros lost in overtime to Hoover, and they fell behind by nine at the end of the first quarter and by six at the half on Thursday.

Torres chipped away and cut the lead to four at the end of the third, and outscored Sunnyside 16-9 in the fourth quarter for a 46-43 victory.
