Suspect in tree causes lockdown

A suspect on the run hid in a tree near Liberty High School and caused a lockdown of outdoor activities at both Liberty and Ranchos Middle School.

A K-9 California Highway Patrol officer stopped for a parked vehicle on the shoulder on Avenue 12, just west of Road 36 on Monday afternoon.

The vehicle was occupied by a Hispanic male. The CHP officer ran the plate and was checking the VIN number when he noticed that the male was sitting on the passenger side of the vehicle.
