Madera Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 300 block of Magnolia Street. Upon arrival Friday at about 7 p.m., officers found a 17-year-old male victim lying in the roadway suffering from gunshot wounds sustained during a verbal altercation. Lockdown at Yosemite High
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a potential threat to Yosemite High School. Deputies arrived to the school on May 12 at about 1:20 p.m., and completed a thorough sweep of the campus and the surrounding area. No evidence of any potential threat was located. Train kills pedestrian
Madera Police Department officers responded to a report of a pedestrian getting struck by a train on the railroad tracks at the south side of East Yosemite Avenue. Car stuck in mud leads to arrest
For The Madera Tribune Madera County Sheriff’s Office deputies found a car that was stuck in standing water after Tuesday’s storm, and found 50 2.5 gallon containers of ag chemicals in the car, worth approximately $10,000.
