MCSO SAR team makes rescue
Madera County Search and Rescue responded to an incident at Lewis Creek involving a 34-year-old female who injured her ankle while hiking the Corlieu Falls Trail on Tuesday. Personnel from Madera County SAR, U.S. Forest Service Fire and Law Enforcement, and Sierra Ambulance assisted at the scene. The patient was safely carried out to the parking area and transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further medical care.

Driver walks away from crash
CHP Madera officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on SR-152, at Road 9 on Monday at about 3 p.m. A white Ram 2500 collided with the trailers of a Peterbilt as the Peterbilt attempted to cross the westbound lanes of SR-152. Thanks to wearing his seatbelt, the 66-year-old man driving the Ram truck sustained non-life-threatening injuries. He was transported to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

Identifying help for deceased male
For The Madera Tribune John Doe. The remains of an adult male were discovered on the east side of the San Joaquin River in Madera County, near Firebaugh on Feb. 26, 1990. Copper wire thieves caught
Madera County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a reported copper wire theft in progress involving agricultural equipment. Local farmers on scene interrupted the theft and immediately contacted MCSO on January 5. The farmers prevented the suspects’ vehicle from leaving before deputies arrived.
