Accident leaves 2 dead

At fatal traffic crash occurred on Avenue 17, heading eastbound just east of Crescent Drive.

The crash caused the death of the driver and an innocent bystander last Friday at about 11:45 p.m.

The California Highway Patrol is still conducting an investigation to determine why the driver, 22-year-old Gustavo Quezada from Firebaugh, allowed his vehicle to leave the roadway.
