Editor's Corner: Dangers of income inequality

One of the things that make me wonder about whether anybody watches television news anymore is that in spite of all the "scandals" that are reported on those channels, they never lead anywhere, and most are forgotten right away.

It is well known, for example, that most broadcasters tend to be Democrats, or at least lean that way. That being the case, you would think that Democrat ideas would rule the airwaves. But that doesn't seem to be the case.

There's no question that Democrat ideas get a lot of airtime, but once they actually get "aired," they tend to evaporate in favor of real news, such as what happens when a hurricane hits. (It gets blamed on Trump.)

A good example of this is all the so-called Democrat talk about income inequality. I heard something on a talk show recently in which the person talking, an avowed Democrat, said income inequality was something that would soon ruin the land. We may never know whether that is true, because most of the income is in the hands of the Democrats, who are shouting loudest about inequality.

Take Hillary Clinton, for example, and her husband, former President Bill Clinton. They are multimillionaires to be sure. And even though they are multimillionaires, another multimillionaire, Harvey Weinstein, gave the Clintons $250,000 for the Clinton Foundation.

When it was discovered that Weinstein was suspected, quite rightly, of being less than kind to women, some women suggested that the Clintons give the money back to Weinstein. Sorry, said the Clintons, but we've already spent it. And, they probably didn't want to contribute to their own income inequality.

And then, there are these two Democrat billionaire hedge fund moguls, Tom Steyer and George Soros, who are both richer than whipped cream with sugar and chocolate. They are both pouring their unequal fortunes into trying to get Donald Trump impeached.

You see what I mean? The ones most affected by income inequality and Dems.

Wouldn't it be better for Steyer and Soros to give all their money to the poor people? Nah, the poor people, in this case, don't count. But they will see first hand what Democrat income inequality leads to.
