As an American patriot, I was dismayed to see the tattered American flag flying over our City of Madera offices on 4th Street.
In early July, I stopped by the city office and offered to pay for a new flag.
City Clerk Sonia Alvarez assured me that they had a supply of flags and the situation would be resolved. Within a very short time a bright new American flag was proudly flying over the City of Madera’s City Hall. Thank you, Ms. Alvarez, for understanding my concern and responding so quickly.
