Stallions shut down Sanger
To start the second round of County/Metro Athletic Conference play, the Madera South softball team looked to get the league sweep of Sanger.
The Stallions got a superior defensive effort and a clutch scoring hit by freshman shortstop Savaanah Garcia in a 1-0 win over the Apaches.
“This was the first time we’ve swept Sanger,” said Stallion head coach Peter Gallegos, whose team won their third CMAC game of the season. “It was a great victory and something that we want to keep doing.”
