Opinion: Preparing for Samhain

The genesis of modern-day Halloween evolved from the ancient celebration of Samhain. The Celtic population celebrated the bounty of the harvest and made preparations for the end of the year and its holy days.

Adding to the creepy October vibe this year is the final Friday, the 13th of 2023. Those who have triskaidekaphobia (fear of the number 13), beware: this weekend awaits.
