Mistakes loom large for Stallions in loss
The Madera South Stallions football team only punted once in its game against the Delhi Hawks. However, instead of punts, Madera South turned the ball over in a 22-7 loss Friday.
The Stallions had six possessions in the game. The first possession ended in a punt. However, the next four of the next five possessions ended in a turnover before scoring on the final possession.
The Stallions battled tough against the run-heavy Hawks. Delhi rushed the ball 42 out of their 46 plays. They gained 172 yards and averaged four yards a rush.
