Madera woman dies in crash

A 20-year-old Madera woman, identified as Emilliane Audler, died in an automobile accident while driving on Ellis Street crossing the intersection of Fairview Street.
A 38-year-old male, Michael Messer, from Madera was driving a 2009 GMC 1500 pick-up eastbound on Ellis Street on Monday morning at about 3:35 a.m.
The pick-up truck was traveling at a high rate of speed approaching the intersection of Fairview Street. The driver of the GMC traveled wrong-way, eastbound, in the westbound lane and crashed head-on with the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu.
