For The Madera Tribune

The Madera South Power Mechanics Program students show off their AED accreditation sign they received. They are the first program in the state to receive the AED accreditation.

Madera South High School’s Power Mechanics Program has achieved a significant milestone by becoming California’s first high school program to receive the prestigious Associated Equipment Distributors (AED) Accreditation.

This accreditation, which aligns the program’s standards with industry requirements for diesel technicians, marks a historic achievement for the school.

The accreditation is a testament to the program’s quality and ensures students will develop the practical skills desired by the industry and enhance their readiness for the workforce.
