Suspects sought in multiple burglaries
The Madera County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in gathering information related to a string of commercial burglaries that occurred in Eastern Madera County in the late evening of Jan. 20, and early morning of Jan. 21.
Shortly after 11 p.m., Jan. 20, Madera County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Grocery Outlet in Oakhurst for an alarm call. Upon arrival, they found evidence of a break-in.
While on scene, an alarm call was received from Napa Auto Parts in Coarsegold, followed by a call from Meadowridge Chevron, and shortly thereafter, Skywalk in Rolling Hills/Business 41 area. Each business showed obvious signs of a break-in, and reported missing items, primarily cash.
Surveillance video was reviewed, and both suspect and vehicle descriptions were obtained. The suspects are described as 5 subjects wearing track clothes, hooded jackets, masks and gloves, and carrying a hand truck. They left the scene in two separate vehicles — a white, 2-door extended cab late model GMC or Chevrolet pickup truck, and a 4-door newer model year sedan, dark in color, of an unknown make or model.
Madera County Sheriff’s Office is seeking identification of the subjects and/or vehicles. If anyone has information related to this incident, or possible related incidents in the area, call the sheriff’s office at 675-7770.
