Rotary names Business of the Year

Madera Rotary Club named Les Schwab as their 2026 Business of the Year at a recent meeting.
Rotarian Diana Barden, who was not present at the meeting, had given her recommendations for this company with compliments on how the business is run.
Glenn Chu introduced the company in her absence, stating that her compliments included outstanding customer service, appointments kept on time, nice facility, nice waiting area, and a popcorn machine.
“Diana says, the business is competitively priced, and they offer many complimentary services, such as tire repair, tire inspections, brake inspections. And what she really likes is they do a pre-trip all-around safety check,” Chu said.
“The business is noted for high-caliber professionalism. Its employees are knowledgeable, and they listen to the needs of the customer. They are business-like, and they are friendly,” he said. “Diana has noticed that Les Schwab employees tell her things that she can do to save money and to ensure the quality of their product. Diana has further noted that she trusts the employees to do whatever is best in the best interest of her vehicle and those of other customers.”
As examples of community participation, in 2025, Les Schwab made contributions to Future Farmers of America for the purchase of livestock at the local fair. They were also sponsors, they are also sponsors, of the world-famous Madtown Revival team, and they sponsored the Matilda Torres High School athletic program.
They also held an annual toy drive in December and with the help of surrounding stores. They raised $19,000 for toys alone and cashed and cashed fundraising for during the same event.
Jeff Karr, Manager of the Madera Les Schwab store, accepted the honor on behalf of the company, and made a short speech of gratitude.
