Why not (a bull as mascot for Matilda Torres High School)? I think it’s a great idea.
Every high school has a mascot and many students have no idea of the history behind the mascot. Teaching students to learn the history that is associated to the subject matter of discussion allows for students to get a grasp on all sides of history and not just a one sided view.
As adults, one of the best things we can do for our future generation of kids is to present different perspectives on the subject matter and offer kids the chance to learn and think for themselves so that they can grow up with wealth of knowledge. But more so, to make sure they learn all sides of history with integrity and respect.
With our nation already divided, we do not need to be further divided. Thank you.
