Yosemite Unified School District seeking superintendent
Interim superintendent’s resignation accepted
OAKHURST – At a special meeting, the Yosemite Unified School District (YUSD) Board of Trustees accepted the resignation of Interim Superintendent Leonard Kahn effective June 30.
Board chair and clerk Tammy Loveland and trustees Monika Moulin and Joe Smith voted to accept the resignation Tuesday at YUSD offices and expressed appreciation for his past service. Trustees Christine Wilder and John Reynolds were absent.
Kahn joined the district as chief business officer in 2015, working closely with previous District Superintendent James Sargent in a variety of key areas. Kahn stepped into the interim position in fall of 2016.
The board held interviews April 21 and 22 to identify a candidate to fill the superintendent position going forward.
