“Jump in and be a part of it and let your artistic expression flow,” said Rhonda Salisbury of Visit Yosemite Madera County. “This is all about having a good time for professionals and amateurs and creating some fun and colorful art to share with Oakhurst.”

Chalk Out is part of the month of ARTober in Oakhurst dedicated to celebrating arts and art culture. ARTober is designed to encourage people to explore and appreciate the arts in Oakhurst.

“I am very excited to be involved in the first annual ARTober, a month-long celebration of the arts in Oakhurstm,” said Jon Bock, president of Sierra Art Trails. “In the Yosemite foothills, art is entwined with history. As artists, we work hard to share our skills and our passion, to promote the arts as an important cultural resource. We want to carry on this creative tradition, to share our talent, and to invite the public to celebrate with us.”
