Madera Police Department officers conducted a welfare check at the 6 Suites Motel where they contacted 32-year-old Brandon Crumley.
As officers attempted to contact the occupants inside Crumley’s room, they heard the sound of a gun racking a round into the chamber Friday night.
This was definitely odd since Crumley is on probation and prohibited from possessing a firearm. As Crumley was contacted, he was detained and found in possession of a concealed and unregistered handgun. Crumley’s direct violation of his probation earned him a ride to Madera County Jail where he was booked on weapons and probation violation charges.
