Torres advances to semis with late 3-pointer

Kaylin Perez drained a 3-pointer with seconds left to send the Matilda Torres Toros to the semifinals of their Cen-Cal Holiday Tournament.
Perez hit a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left to give the Toros a 53-51 lead over the Fowler Redcats. The Redcats couldn’t get a shot off in the final seconds, and the Toros advance to the semifinals on Friday against Edison at 5:30 p.m.
Perez didn’t hit a 3-pointer all game until her last 3-pointer. She led the team with 15 points to go with seven rebounds and four steals.
