‘Tis the season for scammers

This information is for everyone but especially those with elderly family members and the Madera County Sheriff’s Offices encourages people to share this information with them. 

Several examples of recent phone scams:

• Scammer calls pretending to be law enforcement and says you have a warrant. They ask for payment over the phone or via gift cards.
