The Madera South Stallions boys soccer team opened its season with a 2-0 victory over the San Joaquin Memorial Panthers to get the season started off on the right foot.
The Stallions scored a pair of goals in the first half and, essentially, held serve in the second half.
Oscar Monjarez and Hector Vasquez scored the Madera South goals and Christopher Catellano recorded a clean sheet in goal.
