Madera County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue team help a female victim off the rocks at the Falls at Bass lake last week.
The Madera County Sheriff’s Communications Center received a search and rescue call reporting a broken ankle at the Falls in Bass Lake.
MCSO Boat Patrol Deputies Brandon Smith and Martin Gonzalez were first on scene last week, where they located a 42-year-old female lying her back on the rocks just above the falls in the Willow Creek area.
They learned she had gone down the slide at the falls a few times, and while climbing back up on the rocks, she lost her footing and slipped, which resulted in a broken ankle.
