MCSO and Agriland give out Cheer

MCSO deputy Brandon Smith stands with Christmas Cheer recipients Melissa and Steven Renteria. They are going to use the money to buy Christmas gifts for her daughter since most of their money goes to medication for her.

Just before the Christmas weekend, Madera County Sheriff’s Office deputies were armed with an envelope provided by the employees of Agriland to spread Random Acts of Kindness and some Christmas Cheer.

About 25 MCSO deputies were armed with 59 envelopes that enclosed a card and $100 to spread some cheer around Madera County.

“The key for us is to help people,” said Agriland CEO Jim Maxwell. “We just passed out 561 complete turkey dinners at the schools. We like to give back to the community of Madera.”
