Head-on crash claims two lives

CHP Madera officers responded to a crash on SR-145, just south of Avenue 11 early July 12, at about 3:15 a.m.
A 49-year-old woman from Fresno was driving a red 2016 Jeep Cherokee, traveling southbound on SR-145, approaching Cottonwood Creek (south of Avenue 11).
A 25-year-old man from North Fork was driving a white 2017 Subaru Crosstrek, traveling northbound on SR-145, approaching Cottonwood Creek.
