Former Madera South standout Murf Gray gets ready for a pitch for the Fresno State Bulldogs. Gray was named the Mountain West Conference’s co-Tony Gwynn Player of the Year earlier this week.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A week after earning the final Mountain West Conference Player of the Week honors, former Madera South standout Murf Gray shared the Towny Gwynn Player of the Year award.

The award gives the Bulldogs a sweep of the top honors. Aidan Cremarosa was also named the Mountain West Pitcher of the year.

The award is Gray’s second top honor. He was named the MWC Freshman of the year two years ago.
