The Madera and Merced chapters of the Mexican American Golf Association will co-host a golf tournament to help food banks in Madera and Merced counties.
The Madera-Merced Counties Fight against Hunger Golf Tournament will be held December 6, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Madera Golf and Country Club.
“There’s a lot of people that need help,” said Steve Ramirez, Madera’s Mexican American Golf Association President. “What can we do to help people with the chapter? The Merced chapter called me and wanted me to help their community. If we are helping Merced, can we help Madera? Right now, the need is for the Food Banks. We can help out both communities. It will be both chapters merging to help the communities.”
