Fight leads to gunshots

Madera Police Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 1500 block of Rogers Street. While officers were en-route, they were advised that the victim was being transported to a hospital at about 1:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officers intercepted the vehicle, and found a 17-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound sustained during a physical altercation. 

Officers immediately performed life-saving measures and coordinated with emergency medical services. He was transported to a local hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
