Coyotes see five-game winning streak end
After dropping its first game of the season to the Sunnyside Wildcats, the Madera Coyotes football team has reeled off five straight victories, and has scored 40 or more points in each of them.
However, the Bullard Knights posed a problem to the Coyotes — speed. The Knights scored all three of their touchdowns from more than 25 yards out in a 24-14 victory over the Coyotes in County/Metro Athletic Conference play. The Knights had eight plays of over 20 yards, including three for more than 40.
The Coyotes managed to stay with the Knights in terms of total offense (342 for Bullard and 315 for the Coyotes). Madera was also able to keep the ball away from the Knights with 73 plays.
