Madera South’s Eric Soza swings at a pitch to reach base in the first inning of Monday’s victory over Riverdale. Soza came around to score the first run of the game.
Although it wasn’t necessarily the ending Madera South Stallions baseball head coach Donovan Bertoncini drew up, but he’ll take it.
After allowing a tying run to the Riverdale Cowboys in the top of the seventh, the Stallions walked off a 3-2 victory with a run on an error in the bottom of the seventh Monday evening at Eddie Chapa Field.
The Stallions held a 2-0 lead until the Cowboys scored a run on a wild pitch in the fifth, and the tying run was helped by another error.
