Sunrise Rotary honors middle school students

Three middle school students were honored recently by Madera Sunrise Rotary Club. These students the Rotarian “Service Above Self” award.

Each month teachers select a Student of the Month at all Madera Unified middle schools. For the month of April, the teachers selected students who display the character trait of trustworthiness. The counselors and administrators then chose the ones to be honored as the Rotary award recipients.

The Rotarians believe these students deserve to be honored. Congratulations to the following deserving students: Abel Reyes, Desmond Middle School; Olivia Moreno, Thomas Jefferson Middle School; and Pedro Magana, Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School.
