Coyotes just miss big upset over Sanger Apaches

The Madera Coyotes boys basketball team fell into a 16-point deficit early in the second quarter against the Sanger Apaches. 


However, instead of hanging their head like they did two days previous to the San Joaquin Memorial Panthers, the Coyotes battled back cut the lead to two, and have a chance for a win late in a 72-68 loss to end the County/Metro Athletic Conference. 


“The CMAC is the toughest league in the valley,” head coach David Lozano said. “We get to be the lucky ones to be in it. I’m happy we survived it, and the kids will come out stronger.”
