Local dignitaries and Camarena Health board members gather for a ribbon cutting ceremony at the new Camarena Kids Pediatric Health Center at 441 E. Yosemite on Friday.
Camarena Health opened its first Camarena Kids Pediatric Health Center in a facility in downtown Madera.
The new health center will mark Camarena Health’s 12th site in Madera County, and will provide the clinic’s youngest patients and their families with multiple health care services.
The Camarena Kids facility is staffed with four pediatricians, a nurse practitioner, a behavioral health clinician and health education specialist.
“Camarena Health has continued to increase its focus and dedication to the health and well-being of children in our community,” said Paulo Soares, CEO of Camarena Health.
“We felt that the development of a health center just for kids, where they can access multiple services including medical, behavioral health and health education, was a great step to continue moving us in that direction.
“The Camarena Kids pediatric team is highly trained to care for children of all ages and is very excited to care for our community.”
The new site is at 441 E. Yosemite Ave., next to the Bank of America.
Camarena Health is a federally qualified healthcare center that has served residents of Madera County for 39 years.
