Madera South’s Angel Duenas celebrates at second base after a second inning double in Monday’s big win over Tranquility. Duenas drove in four and scored three runs in the 18-hit attack.

The Madera South Stallions took advantage of a lesser Tranquility squad to score 26 runs in a rout at Eddie Chapa Field.

The 26 runs is among the most in a game for the Stallions, and may even be the record, pending more research. The Stallions scored 11 runs in the first and eight more runs in the second to cruise to the Monday victory.

The Stallions banged out 18 hits in the game with two doubles from Josiah Ortiz and doubles from Angel Duenas and Chris Huerta. Ortiz drove in six from the lead-off spot, and scored three runs.
