Madera County Sheriff's Log: June 25-30

The Madera County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents: June 25

1:20 a.m. — Deputy conducted a bicycle stop at the intersection of Highway 41 and Golden Oak Loop in Oakhurst resulting in the arrest of a local woman for possession of methamphetamines. The case is to be forwarded to the Madera County District Attorney’s Office and to Mariposa County Probation Department.

11:21 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 3000 block of CA-41 in Coarsegold regarding a found child. A report was taken for documentation and will be forwarded to the Madera County Department of Social Services for informational purposes.

9:27 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 12000 block of Road 36 in Madera regarding a 911 call from a subject asking for help and grunting. Subject was discovered to be suffering from a self-inflicted gunshot wound and transported by Emergency Medical System. Deputy also recommended that this case be forwarded to Behavioral Health. June 26

9:06 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 18000 block of Road 26 in Madera regarding a report of criminal threats. The victim said a man threatened his life while he was checking a water leak on a property. A report was written and forwarded to Madera County District Attorney’s office for review of charges. June 28

7:08 a.m. — Deputies served a search warrant in the 38000 block of Leaf Wood Lane in Coarsegold in regards to an indoor marijuana cultivation operation.

10:34 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 29000 block of Acorn Court in Coarsegold regarding a possible overdose. The involved party was placed on a mental health evaluation hold. June 27

5:50 p.m. — Deputies were dispatched to the 23000 block of Road 24 to Assist Child Protection Services with placing a 300 on three juveniles. Child Protection Services advised there was already a report written regarding child abuse. The children were turned over to Madera County Child Protection Services. June 28

2 p.m. — Deputies responded to a dispatch to the 54000 block of road 432 in Bass Lake regarding a subject throwing an ax at a tree on a roadway. The subject was located and found to have a local felony probation warrant and booked at Madera Department of Corrections.

3:18 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 38000 block of SR-41 in Oakhurst regarding a female subject living inside a home that was for sale. A Realtor contacted the female subject and the female provided a signed rental agreement. During the investigation the female was found to be a victim of a rental scam. The rental agreement was not valid. A report was written for documentation purposes.

6:05 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 8000 block of Avenue 12 in Chowchilla regarding a subject reporting that his neighbor shot at him. An investigation was completed and an arrest was made. Evidence was collected and a report was written. The case was forwarded to the District Attorney’s Office for review of charges. June 29

10:54 a.m. — A deputy responded to the 1400 block of SR-41 in Madera regarding multiple threats to a business. The owner of the business was the subject of a controversial video that went viral. The business received hundreds of calls demanding the employee resign. Some calls were threatening in nature; however, no suspect information was obtained. A report was taken for documentation and extra patrol was given for the remainder of the day. June 30

9:18 p.m. — Deputy was contacted by Pines Security in Bass Lake who advised they were looking for a drunk subject who had just pulled the fire alarm at the business located in the 39000 block of Marina Drive in Bass Lake. The deputy located the subject, who was very drunk. Subject was arrested for drunk in public and booked into the County Jail.
