Torres' Diego Jimenez controls the ball in the attacking zone in Wednesday's Div. III Championship match against Bakersfield.

The Matilda Torres Toros boys soccer team became the highest seed standing in the quarterfinals, but couldn\'92t find the back of the net in the Div. III Central Section championship match.

The Toros, seeded third, battled to a scoreless tie with the eighth-seeded Bakersfield Drillers, but lost, 4-2, in penalty kicks in Wednesday's title match in Toro Stadium.

Like the girls team the day before, the Toros outshot their opponent, but couldn\'92t find the back of the net.
