Madera County Sheriff's Log: Feb. 6-10
The Madera County Sheriff’s Department reported the following incidents. Feb. 6
9:03 a.m. — A vehicle check on Highway 145 resulted in the recovery of stolen property, seizure of narcotics and narcotic paraphernalia and two suspects arrested.
1:09 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to 40120 State Route 41 in Oakhurst regarding a report of a drunken person belligerently harassing customers. Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Madera County Department of Corrections.
4:37 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 12500 block of Road 33 in Madera regarding found explosives. Deputy arrived and contacted the reporting person and obtained their statement. Scene was secured and Fresno County Sheriffs Office EOD team was called to assist. Explosives were collected by the EOD member. A report was written for documentation and closed. Feb. 7
8:41 a.m. — Deputies were assisting in the river cleanup in Madera. A subject was encountered with a warrant. Subject was cited and released.
10:03 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 13000 block of Road 21 1/2 in Madera regarding, a possible W&I 5150 subject. Upon contact the subject was determined to be a danger to herself and a protective hold was placed. The case was closed.
4:41 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 34000 block of Road 274 in North Fork regarding a family disturbance. Statements were gathered, photos were taken. The juvenile was arrested for battery and elderly abuse and transported to Madera County Department of Corrections. Feb. 8
9:18 a.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the Southeast corner of Avenue 6 and Road 26 in Madera regarding the theft of a ladder trailer. A report was taken for documentation.
12:31 a.m. — Deputy responded to the 28000 block of Avenue 14 in Madera regarding a physical fight between two juvenile students. Statements were taken from all involved parties and a report was taken for documentation purposes. The involved parties were turned over to the School Administration for disciplinary actions.
4:20 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the area of Road 417 and State Route 41 in Coarsegold regarding, a female jumping in front of traffic. The female was contacted and protection hold was placed. The case was closed. Feb. 9
10:07 a.m. — Deputy responded to a school in the 12000 block of Road 36 regarding, a student making threats. A report was taken and will be forwarded to Juvenile Probation for review of charges. The case was closed.
4:49 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 42000 block of ranger Circle Drive in Coarsegold regarding a subject who was bitten by a dog. There was no county violation noted. This report is for documentation of a dog bite. Report will be forwarded to Animal Control.
9:44 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 1200 block of East Almond in Madera regarding a patient who was assaulted. Deputy spoke to the subject who declined to provide information regarding the incident. The subject initially stated he did not remember and he didn’t want to provide any details. Photographs were taken of the subject’s injuries and a report was written. Feb. 10
3:01 p.m. — Deputy was dispatched to the 25000 block of Roxbury Drive for a report of two children walking in the roadway. The parent was later located in a home nearby and the children were placed with Madera County Child protection Services. A report was written and forwarded to Madera County District Attorney’s Office for filing of charges of child endangerment.
