MALL hosts sign-ups today

Sign-ups for the Madera American Little League begin today through Jan. 20 at Town and Country Park from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

The league already held early bird sign-ups and will have three regular sign-up dates — today, Jan. 13 and Jan. 20 — from 10 a.m-2 p.m. before late sign-ups start Jan. 27.

Regular registration fee is $150 with a $10 discount for each sibling, cash only. The price includes 20 raffle tickets for the carnival. Fees can also be paid online at maderaamerican.com using a Paypal accounty. Late sign-ups, which coincide with tryouts are Jan. 27, Jan. 30, Jan. 31 and Feb. 3.

Registration fee also includes a baseball clinic on Jan. 20 from 12-2 p.m. for players ages 6-12. Parents need to bring an original birth certificate and a proof of addresses from a number of records. See the league’s website for details.

Students from Berenda, Sherman Thomas, Ezequiel Tafoya Alvarado Academy, Nishimoto, James Monroe, Washington, Sierra Vista, Millview, Desmond, Alpha, Ceasar Chavez, Madison, Parkwood, Eastin-Arcola, Pershing, La Vina, Martin Luther King Middle School and Virginia Lee Rose are eligible for Madera American.
