Madera Late Models prepare to take the green flag in an earlier race at The Madera Speedway. The Late Models will be the featured race in Saturday’s event, which benefits Valley Children’s Hospital.

There are two big fundraising events at the Madera Speedway each year to help Valley Children’s Hospital. The first is an annual race event in August and the second is the annual Championship Awards Banquet in November.

Saturday night is the Valley Children’s race event and there will be multiple ways race fans can help raise money for the hospital, from raffles to the fill the helmet with cash and more, including a big grand prize for one lucky fan.

This is also a chance for fans to come out and see racing action featuring the Madera Late Models and this is the big group of drivers that have put on the best races of the 2017 season at Madera. The undercard includes the Hobby Stocks, the Toyota Sedans, the Mini Super Toyotas, and a non-points tune up race for the Jr Late Models, featuring 10-16 year old drivers in full sized late models.

Adult tickets are $15, seniors and military are $13, youth ages 6-12 are $7, and kids five and under are free. Grandstands open at 4:30 p.m. with main events starting at 7 p.m.
