Perfect game helps MNLL 12s
After a stunning loss in the first game of the District 10 All-Star tournament, the Madera National 11-12-year-old All-Star team received a boost from Charlie Monterosa and have won two straight games in the double-elimination tournament.
Reedley scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to walk-off with a 3-2 victory in the opening game Saturday.
However, Monterosa wouldn’t let his team down on Sunday. He tossed Madera National’s first perfect game in many years in All-Stars and the first for Madera National Little League since March 2004, leading his team to a 6-0 victory over River Park National.
