Coyotes softball rebound in win
After suffering through a thorough thrashing against the Bullard-Fresno Knights, the Madera Coyote softball team took out its frustration against a one-win San Joaquin Memorial-Fresno team.
The Coyotes (No. 5 in Central Section, No. 1 in Div. II) banged out 21 hits, including nine for extra bases, stole 11 bases and recorded a 20-0 victory against 1-18 San Joaquin Memorial, which has been outscored 125-6 in the County/Metro Athletic Conference.
The Coyotes, which scored the most runs in a game since 2012, kept pace with the Knights atop the CMAC standings.
