Subject arrested for attempted sexual assault
For The Madera Tribune Hilario Morales-Santiago. The Madera Police Department received a 911 call reporting an unknown male inside a residence last week. Upon arrival, officers observed a male subject fleeing on foot from the back of the home on October 18 at about 3 a.m. After a brief foot pursuit, the suspect was apprehended, and identified as 43-year-old Hilario Morales-Santiago of Madera.

Suspect caught vandalizing vehicle
While on patrol near Sunset Avenue and Sundance Lane, Madera Police Department Officer Fidel Amezola spotted a suspect actively vandalizing a parked vehicle. The individual — Hashem Hussein, 20 — was seen stomping on the vehicle’s windshield, as captured in a video Saturday evening. Officer Amezola acted quickly, and Hussein was arrested for felony vandalism. He has since been booked into Madera County Jail.

CHP Madera officers responded to a traffic crash involving two vehicles, on Road 400, at River Road on October 16 at about 9:30 a.m. A 61-year-old woman from Madera, was driving a gray 2023 Ford Explorer, northbound on Road 400, approaching River Road. A 40-year-old man from Madera, was seated in the right front passenger seat of the Ford Explorer.
