Voter registration deadline is Monday
Madera County Clerk-Recorder and Registrar of Voters, Rebecca Martinez announced that in order to be eligible to vote in the November 4, Statewide Special Election, persons must register to vote by Monday, October 20. Farmers welcome October storm
Wendy Alexander/The Madera Tribune Standing water sits along Avenue 13 1/2 and Road 23 1/2 after Tuesday’s rainfall. The recent storm laid down more than an inch of rain. The recent storm that laid down more than an inch of rain came at a pretty good time for Madera County farmers. According to Creekside Farming President Jay Mahil, most of the crops have been already harvested and those that aren’t, benefitted from the storm. “We will take it when we can get it,” he said.

Tech Trek students share experience with AAUW

Golfer making a name for herself
For The Madera Tribune Chowchilla’s Asterisk Talley is making Chowchilla proud with her exploits on the golf course, including leading the American Junior Ryder Cup team to a win over the European team a couple of weeks ago. While the American Ryder Cup golf team failed to bring home the cup after losing to the Europeans, the American Junior Ryder Cup team brought their cup back home.
