For The Madera Tribune

Members present the day presentations were made, from left were Ava Hernandez, Chelsea Vega, Giada Pistoresi, Vincent Pistoresi (helper), and Kirsten Gross, director of the Animal Shelter. Members not present are Sophie Vega, and Maryava Erickson.

A Camp Fire group of 4- to 6-year-old girls decided to bake and sell dog treats to raise money for the Madera County Animal Shelter.

They sold them to friends and family members. The sales provided the shelter with more than $500 worth of items the shelter needed.

The girls were given a tour of the animal shelter by director Kirsten Gross.
