The Madera County Treasurer-Tax Collector’s Office successfully concluded its annual Defaulted Property Tax Sale, generating more than $630,000 in recovered revenue and reactivating the taxpaying status of 11 delinquent parcels back to current.

The tax sale did not receive minimum bids for five parcels; information regarding the next steps will be posted on our website.

The online sale, held from May 10 to May 13, is a critical part of the county’s effort to ensure equitable tax contributions and fund vital public services such as libraries, animal control, district attorney services, as well as for the schools, special districts, and cities.
