Toros pull away for road victory

FRESNO — The Matilda Torres Toros outscored the Roosevelt Rough Riders 24-12 in the second half to record a comfortable 58-37 County/Metro Athletic Conference 2 victory.

The Toros had a pretty even night against the Rough Riders. They got their share of turnovers, recording 16 steals of the 22 turnovers. The Toros also shot 34 percent from the field and seven different players scored.

J’Lynn Mitchell recorded a double-double with 15 points and 15 rebounds. She filled up the stat sheet with five offensive boards, three steals and three blocks.
