Suspicious activity at Howard School

Madera Police Department responded to Howard Elementary School on Avenue 14, after some suspicious activity was reported Wednesday. 

“Out of abundance of caution, the school was placed on lockdown while Madera PD School Resource Officers contacted the individuals involved and detained them,” the Madera PD said in a statement. 

“Madera PD and MUSD take these incidents seriously. Our top priority is the safety of our students, staff and ensuring our campuses are safe.
