Members from the Mexican Consulate help a Madera Unified parent during a visit last week.

The Madera community had the opportunity to receive first-hand information from the Mexican Consulate at the Madera Unified School District Family Resource Center.

This was made possible through a partnership with the district’s Community Services and the Parent Resource Center.

Two of the service days last week were dedicated exclusively to MUSD families, during which more than 200 appointments were filled in just two days.

Additionally, staff accommodated more than 40 walk-in families each day to enhance access to services. The remaining two days were open to the broader community, welcoming families from neighboring cities. Overall, more than 400 individuals are expected to benefit from this event.

While families waited for their appointments, staff provided information about district programs and connected them with resources and services available throughout the school year.

This event enabled families to conveniently access essential consular services, such as passports, matrícula consular, and other official documents, without the lengthy wait times typically associated with scheduling appointments directly through the Mexican Consulate in Fresno.
