For The Madera Tribune
Last year’s Madera County Supervisors Chairperson Leticia Gonzalez transfers Chairman duties to Bobby Macauley during Tuesday’s Board of Supervisors meeting in Oakhurst.
The Madera County Supervisors made history in their first board meeting of the new year.
Tuesday’s meeting marked the first time, ever, a board meeting was held inside the Oakhurst Government Center.
The meeting began with the reorganization of the Board of Supervisors. Coincidentally, the Supervisors voted for Supervisor Bobby Macaulay, who represents the mountain community, as new Board Chairman for 2026 calendar year.
