Madera South’s Danae Prudente rises up to put down one of her game-high 14 kills in Tuesday’s four-set victory over Matilda Torres.
Although the Matilda Torres Toros girls volleyball team took a set from the Madera South Stallions, the Stallions proved too much in a four-set victory in the North Yosemite League.
The Stallions lost the first st, 25-17, but overwhelmed the Toros 75-51 the rest of the way for the four set win Thursday.
“We had a good game plan for Set 1,” Toros head coach Adam Horner said. “We had a good talk and executed our game plan well. It threw them off a little bit. We went away from that for some reason for the rest of the match. I’m proud. They played hard tonight.”
